It’s important to note that there are potential risks and dangers that should be taken into account when handling lithium ion rechargeable batteries. When using an external charger, read the specific charger manual and verify that your batteries are compatible with the charger. Charge times should not exceed the times listed in the manual. If the cell is not charged after being on the charger for an extended period of time, stop charging and remove the battery. Always be sure that the positive (+) and negative (-) poles of the battery are facing in the proper direction in the charger. When storing the battery, make sure the battery remains separate from anything else and placed in a dry area, out of direct sunlight or heat. A batteries lifespan decreases with each use; be sure to exchange old batteries for new batteries after 300 charge cycles. In order to greatly improve safety precautions, do not use cigarette jacks in cars for charging your batteries. Do not charge the cells with a constant current that is more than its maximum charge current. Do not disassemble or reconstruct the battery unless you are replacing a damaged battery wrap. Do not throw the battery or damage the battery in any way. Do not solder onto battery contacts directly. Only use new batteries with new batteries; do not mix old batteries with new batteries (especially when packing). Do not place the batteries in a microwave or pressure cooker. Do not connect the positive (+) or negative (-) poles with conductive materials (metal, wire, keys, loose change) as this will cause the battery to vent and you may end up on your evening news.
