Kanger DripBox Starter Kit Overview

Kangertech is continuing to set trends and take us to places no mod has ever taken us before. Introducing the Kanger DRIPBOX Starter Kit: The only starter kit offered today that has a “dripless” juice delivery system. The Dripbox starter kit features a Subdrip RDA as well as a Dripmod Device. The Subdrip RDA conveniently includes two replaceable 0.2 ohm cotton drip coils and will also function with coils you have built (0.2 ohm or greater) to your specific liking. This 510 threaded, Stainless Steel RDA features an adjustable airflow as well as a bottom feed design that allows juice to be pumped from the Dripmod into the RDA’s juice well. The Dripmod is constructed from Aluminum, housing a single 18650 high-drain battery (not included) behind a threaded battery door and delivers a continuous output of 60w (3.7v). The most astonishing aspect of this device is that it houses a removable plastic tank that boasts an impressive 7.0mL fill capacity. The squeezable plastic tank feeds E-Juice straight up through the firing pin and into the RDA, truly making this a drip-less Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer. Simply fill up the plastic tank with your favorite E-Juice, insert the tank into the device, attach the magnetic door holding the plastic tank in place, screw on the Subdrip RDA, squeeze the plastic tank a couple times to saturate the cotton wick and vape on! As of right now, the Dripmod/Subdrip are not compatible with any other device due to the built-in juice delivery system. Using other types of tanks with the Dripmod may cause juice to leak which could potentially damage your device or battery. If you’ve grown tireless- constantly dripping to satisfy your e-juice craving but do not want to make the switch over to sub-ohm tanks, pick up the Kanger Dripbox Starter Kit today and never drip again!

Tutorial: Guide to Variable Voltage / Variable Wattage Mods

Welcome to Misthub's Guide to Variable Voltage / Variable Wattage Mods. While these devices were once rare and very costly, the rapid evolution of vaping has made these devices quite popular, widely available and very affordable. Today we will discuss what is a variable voltage / variable wattage device, how they work, and the various advantages and disadvantages of these devices.   What Is A VV/VW Mod? A VV/VW Mod at it's simplest is a battery powered vaping device that uses circuitry to regulate its output power and allows adjustment of it's output power in two ways: 1. By adjusting the voltage. 2. By adjusting the wattage. Additionally these devices employ protection circuitry to provide a wide variety of safety features to protect the user and/or prevent damage to the device itself. The safety features of VV/VW Mods make them a fantastic device for new and veteran vapers alike. Today, there is a massive selection of these types of these devices. Their maximum output power and other features are just as varied. With so many choices in devices it's good to know they are all quite similar internally. These devices are controlled by a micro processor which is what allows for and controls the variable settings, safety features, and secondary features like displaying battery life, atomizer resistance, etc. The only significant internal differences are the microprocessor itself, whether it uses replaceable or internal batteries, and if those batteries are in a parallel or a series circuit. Battery placement determines if... Learn more

Tutorial: Ohms Law and Vape Safety Calculator

Overview of Ohms Law and Vape Safety Mechanical mods, high wattage regulated mods, rebuild-able dripping atomizers and rebuild-able tank atomizers are becoming extremely popular. Most experienced vapers quickly realize the cost savings of rebuilding and make simple RDA's / RBA's and RTA's part of their daily life. It's no surprise - for the cost of a pack of coils you could buy a year supply of kanthal wire and organic cotton - the building blocks of most vape coils built today. Additionally, self build coils in RDA's tend to produce a lot more vapor and superb flavor over traditional coils, but this post is not about that. This post is about vaping safely and what that means. Let's face it, a metal tube with a high voltage battery or a high wattage (think 150W) box mod with two is nothing to smirk at. You are putting that thing right next to your eyes, mouth and face and firing (activating) it. You WANT to be safe! Before building your first coil, it is highly recommended to buy an ohms meter. This is a device that will tell you the resistance of the coils on your atomizer. Armed with resistance (Ω) you will be able to easily figure out if your setup is safe. But first, what exactly is "safety" when it comes to mods and e-cigs? Easy, the batteries used today for most mechanical and box mods are either 18650 or 26650 series batteries. These batteries vary in Amps - amps... Learn more

Tutorial: Variable Voltage vs. Variable Wattage for E-cigs

Introduction to Variable Voltage vs. Variable Wattage for E-cigs There is a lot of confusion between variable voltage vs. variable wattage for e-cigs. Both variable voltage and variable wattage are technologies that control the power output delivered to your e-juice delivery device like atomizer, cartomizer, or clearomizer. If you are unfamiliar with different types of e-liquid delivery devices be sure to check out our Tutorial: Atomizer vs. Cartomizer vs. Clearomizer. Some people prefer variable voltage to variable wattage, and in most cases it boils down to skill level and the level of control you want when vaping. Although, variable voltage and variable wattage control power output of your battery, they achieve the same result in a different way. The choice between variable voltage and variable wattage comes into play if your tend to switch between different types, brands and models of atomizers, cartomizers, and clearmizers. As you know from our previous tutorials, different type, brands, and models come with different resistance levels of coils. To achieve desired power output while using a variable voltage battery you will need to know the resistance level of your e-juice delivery device. Using the Vaping Power Chart and the resistance level (in Ohms) you will need to cross-reference or calculate appropriate voltage to achieve desired power output or wattage. With variable wattage feature resistance level of a coil is calculated automatically by a microprocessor of electronic cigarette. There is no need to use Vaping Power Chart or do calculations by hand. However, it is... Learn more

Tutorial: Variable Voltage and Vaping Power Chart

Significance of Variable Voltage and Vaping Power Chart Modern electronic cigarettes come with many features and one of these features is variable voltage. Not every e-cigarette comes with option of variable voltage, some already come with preconfigured constant power output. These types of e-cigarette are simple to use and more suitable for beginners. They deliver predesigned power to model specific atomizer, cartomizer, or clearomizer. However, more advance users prefer an option of variable voltage which allows them to control power output to achieve ideal vapor production. Them main reason why you would choose a variable voltage electronic cigarette over constant power e-cigarette, is the variety of different types and brands of atomizers, cartomizers, and clearomizers on the market today. If you are unfamiliar with different types of e-juice delivery devices be sure to check out our Tutorial: Atomizer vs. Cartomizer vs. Clearomizer. Different types and brands of atomizers, cartomizers, and clearomizers all have one thing in common, they all have some type of heating coil which converts power delivered by your batter to heat. The heating coil can have different resistence level, which simply means that it requires different power levels to achieve ideal heating temperature. Consequently, variable voltage option allows you to set ideal power output depending on brand and model of atomizers, cartomizers, and clearomizers you are using. It is important to note that highest voltage is usually not ideal power setting and can lead to burning of e-juice or even risk of coil burnout. Therefore, always pay... Learn more

Tutorial: Vape Battery Safety and Tips

You might think that the electronic technology involved in vaping is similar to the electronics involved in a smartphone or a flashlight, and for the most part, you would be right. The basic principles are the same. But then you notice that the batteries we’re using are a little more stout than the AA’s in your TV remote. Then you might see a news report where someone sets his backpack on fire with a mod, and you wonder, how? How does this happen with vaping but not with your MP3 player? Here’s the thing: vaping requires power, and we don’t mean power like a portable Bluetooth speaker uses. We mean massive current. Vaping uses power like almost no other consumer electronic device, at a tremendous rate, meaning that there are serious risks. Newer devices have loads of safety features, but they can’t eliminate every possible way to abuse your gear. And that’s why we need to talk about safety.   As it has been for many years, the vaper’s battery of choice is the 18650 cell. That’s a size measurement, 18mm diameter and 65mm long. The 18650 comes in a lot of different varieties with a lot of different performance ratings. And vaping requires the best. When you factor in weight, longevity, price, and the ability to handle huge amperage, the 18650 owns every other type of battery, which is why you see them bundled into almost every high-powered electrical device you can buy, from computers to power tools to... Tutorial: Best Batteries for Mods and Vaping Safety

What are the best batteries for mods? And what is the right battery to use in your mod? It's actually the most important questions someone can ask before vaping on a new device. All personal vaporizers utilize high discharge lithium batteries. These batteries are by far the most crucial part of your device. When handled properly they are quite safe but if mishandled can be dangerous (especially in a mechanical mod). Below you will find everything you need to select the best battery for mods as well as tips to keep it working in tip top condition for the duration of its lifespan.   Size, Does it matter? Yes, Most mods will only fit the size battery it is intended to use and it is strongly recommended to use only the size specified for your device. In some cases multiple smaller batteries can be stacked to fit in a device. Battery stacking should be avoided. Stacking batteries increases the batteries voltage and can cause the batteries or the device to fail.   Brand, Does it matter? Absolutely, using an authentic battery from a reputable brand will ensures your battery will operate safely and as intended within its rated specifications. Your safety matters, so we recommend the following brands: Sony, Efest, Samsung, and Orbtronic. Other reputable brands include MXJO, EH, MNKE, Panasonic, LG, and AW . Using low quality batteries runs the risk of damaging your device and potentially injuring you and others. A little extra money spent on quality batteries... Learn more
